Ok, so this one may be a wee bit lengthy because I have a passage and a song to share.
First, the passage...it comes from Matthew 10:32-39
32“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. 33But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.
34“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35For I have come to turn “ ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughterinlaw against her motherinlaw– 36a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.’[a]
37“Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; 38and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
That is a hard truth to swallow, don't you think? There's just so much that is said in those few words. I'm not about to attempt to analyze it in anyway. I just read it and thought I'd throw it in here for the few who read this thing.
So the song. Here it is:
Take my heart, I Lay it down
At the feet of you whose crowned
Take my life, I’m letting go
I lift it upto You who’s throned
And I will worship You, Lord
Only You, Lord
And I will bow down before You
Only You Lord
Take my fret, take my fear
All I have, I’m leaving here
Be all my hopes, be all my dreams
Be all my delights, be my everything
And It’s just you and me here now
Only you and me here now
You should see the view
When it’s only You
Yeah...I've been listening to this song a whole lot lately. It's a pretty good principle to live by. Just letting go and giving it all to the Lord. I wish it were easier said than done, but lately I've been doing better about it. I've really been enjoying the time with just me and Him. It's been so wonderful and on top of that it just me such a strong desire to worship Him and only Him. Yeah...I just thought I'd share that little tidbit. Okie dokie...I'm hittin the hay. Goodnight and God Bless. |
